Dehradun, 30 October 2026: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday participated in the PM Kisan Utsav Diwas programme organised at the Survey auditorium in Dehradun. The event was linked to the central government’s farmer welfare initiative.

About PM-KISAN

PM-KISAN is a central scheme that gives income support to eligible farmer families, Rs 6,000 a year paid in three instalments directly into bank accounts. Programmes like this one are held to connect farmers with the scheme and with agriculture departments.

Why it matters for Uttarakhand

Most farmers in the hill state have small and scattered landholdings, so direct income support and awareness programmes are important for them. The reports reviewed did not include the full text of the Chief Minister’s speech, so no announcements are attributed to him here.
