Dehradun, 30 October 2026: Senior Uttarakhand Congress vice-president Suryakant Dhasmana has demanded that the education department quickly hand over appointment letters to the 585 candidates selected through the LT (Licentiate Teacher) recruitment exam.

Warning of agitation

He said that if the letters are not issued soon, the party will launch an agitation. He alleged that the delay reflects an anti-youth mindset of the government.

What the candidates say

Selected candidates told reporters that the recruitment was advertised in March 2024 and the written exam was held in August, yet they are still waiting for appointments.

Government’s side

The education department’s response was not available in the reports reviewed. This article will be updated if the department explains the reason for the delay.
